FSCT Annual Meeting and

The Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology’s annual meeting, scheduled for Nov. 13-17 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, will focus on the most innovative technical advances from the coatings industry. Held in conjunction with the International Coatings Expo (ICE) 2003, the annual meeting program features paper presentations and focused sessions based on the theme of “The Spirit of Innovation.”
More than 45 presentations are being planned by the annual meeting program committee, headed by Ray Fernando, of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. The program will open with the Mattiello Memorial Lecture, to be given by Charles R. Hegedus, of Air Products and Chemicals. Additional highlights of the meeting will include the Technical Focus Lecture, by Michael P. Diebold of DuPont, poster sessions, exhibitor spotlights and award competition papers. FSCT has announced topics for the 2003 International Coatings Technology Conference (ICTC), which has been expanded to include new one-half, as well as one- and two-day courses held Nov. 11-12. ICTC is being developed by the FSCT professional development committee, under the direction of Jonathan Lawniczak of Eastman Chemicals. Topics to be presented include marine coatings, introduction to coatings technology for the non-technologist, principles of paint formulations, nanotechnology and the impact color.
